Issue 9: August 2021
Poem: 53 words
By Bob Lucky

Swan Song

When I strip
away the pretenses
hanging in the closet,
I don’t really have
anything practical to wear
to the Apocalypse.

Going naked
says too much,
and that worn Hawaiian shirt
may be a tone-deaf choice,
but who knows?

I may not be
the only one
to bring a uke.
