Three Micro-Poems

gentrification

new neighbors drive
Mercedes
and Teslas

what we moved here
to steer clear from

road to ruin
thinking about you
I take a detour

in my life
I’ve seen a comet
or two

at ungodly hours

now I’m willing
to wait 7,000 years
