Let the Horses Go

At the end of the day, when all
is said and done, not everything

comes to those who wait. Barking
dogs sometimes bite. And a watched

pot might actually boil. A word
to the wise is cheap talk—sell

your thoughts for a penny. Step on
a crack and you may lose the ace

up your sleeve. That bird in the hand
is a wild card. When life gives you

lemons, keep the lid on and fry
the big fish. Count all the eggs.

Keep that cat in the bag, your head
in the clouds, but let the horses go.
