Jerome Berglund,

a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Cinema-Television Production program, spent a picaresque decade in the entertainment industry before returning to the Midwest where he has worked as everything from dishwasher to paralegal, night watchman to assembler of heart valves. He also writes prosimetric forms that blend prose and micro-poetry, and his haibun and tanka tales are published in Cafe Haiku, Contemporary Haibun Online, Drifting Sands Haibun, The Other Bunny, Prune Juice Journal, Under the Bashō, and The Wise Owl. His work has been nominated for the Touchstone Awards and the Pushcart Prize.

Jerome’s full-length collections of poetry include Eleusinian Solutions: recipes for mock duck soup (Mōtus Audāx Press, 2024), Bathtub Poems: drum beats on a typewriter (Setu Prakashani, 2023), and Funny Pages (Meat For Tea Press, 2023). He is also an award-winning professional photographer, whose black-and-white photographs have been shown in New York, Minneapolis, and Santa Monica galleries. His mixed-genre chapbook And Mash: Warm Rejections showcases his fine-art images and is available from Yavanika Press (2023).
