She craves something light, smooth to touch. She feeds the seagulls, doesn’t mind the stealing of food, the unintelligible clamour. “Oh, my gals,” her lips murmur softly, silky heads, nearing her face, unwavering. This is what she always wanted to be. The more she gives, the more they insist, light and satiny.
