Publisher’s Note:
These stunning images are a collaboration between Mother Nature and humans, and illustrate the singular beauty of weathering and decay of human-made objects through corrosion and rust. The resulting patterns can create spectacular abstract art. Numerous additional examples may be enjoyed online at Rust Art. See also the resources in the Artist’s Bio below.
is a fine-arts photographer from Montréal with a passion for abstractionism. A prolific creator, he always has an eye open to capture the usually neglected details of his local milieu. Creating artistic composites from his abstract imagery catalogue is another avenue he often explores. Pierre is active on the Facebook groups Lumières Abstraites and Rust Art.
