MacQueen’s Quinterly: Knock-your-socks-off Art and Literature
Issue 21: 1 Jan. 2024
Micro-Poem: 28 words
By D.S. Maolalai

A view from my balcony

three swans
in the shaft
of a streetlight
as they hunt
over blackness. a contrast,
as if sparkles
were rising
through liquorice
night.
