Poem: | 52 words [R] |
Moths, flutter ghosts at lights, dust-fling wings that are their own shadows, opening and closing like Oriental fans, the light’s Geisha allure— white-faced siren bulb’s misleading glow—the Kabuki theater of harsh shadow and lurid slash, the sudden fall from grace, singed and battered, found by blackbirds in morning’s hungry light.
