The middle serves as a pedestal for watch-winders loaded with IWCs and a Rolex. In the third, Omegas. These she knows about, though not the others. They’re hidden behind books, beneath underwear, in fishing gear. Now, in their hundreds.
“I was on eBay,” I say. “Another Seamaster.”

Lew is also the co-author, with Roberta Beary and Rich Youmans, of Haibun: A Writer’s Guide (Ad Hoc Fiction, forthcoming). He is the haibun co-editor of Frogpond and holds an honorary doctorate from Bristol University. Born and raised in Wales, he now lives in Chicago with his wife, Roxanne Decyk. His other passions are fly fishing and gin martinis.
