look the sun! it is rising! my son says from the car seat as we drive by the boatyard where the puget sound rubs against the road yes! it is gold and silver i respond he smiles and nods many days i have pointed out the sun setting on our way home asking him if it is pink or orange the answer is always pink! yes pink! isn’t it beautiful? and we notice how the sun reaches higher in the sky each day as we drive i see him eating the glory and the shadow his body a vessel brimming and he chooses to speak about the light thank god he chooses to speak about the light
helps our Veterans heal as an RN in the Seattle area. His latest book is a collaboration with Lillian Necakov and Lauren Scharhag titled Midnight Glossolalia (Meat For Tea Press). He also has a collaboration with Daniel McGinn, Fill Me With Birds, which is looking for a home. Scott’s book of poetry The Long Blade of Days Ahead is due out in August from Impspired.
