here are ways to disassemble the maple and cottonwood and beyond that the container cranes and beyond that the hills of silt and beyond that the silent mantle of salt and sea the ache of what is does not make it easier to take off the face from a body or the skin from water— the pauses between syllables almost swallowed and finally spit i cough them out—look in my hands— a mirror-marble! a slender music! an ant queen with resplendent wings!
