good feng shui 

lost koan 
you never know 
what you missed 

fu dogs guarding 

friend or foe 
a fragile line 
easily crossed 

the doorstep 

post-betrayal 
the years it takes 
to move on

Cynthia is co-editor of the anthology A Bird Black As the Sun: California Poets on Crows & Ravens (Green Poet Press). She makes her home in the Mojave Desert near Joshua Tree National Park.
